Filmmaking Beyond the Classroom!
This July 23-28, join Sneak On The Lot in Burbank, California, the heart of Hollywood, as we produce a short film together.
Working alongside industry professionals in a variety of roles, you’ll gain valuable on-set experience which you will be able to take back to your classroom and students.
We’ll travel to film studios, visit with film producers, music composers and sound engineers. Guest lectures include topics such as lighting, special effects, editing and more. Classroom discussions will range from story development, screenwriting and storyboarding to pre-production through post-production. We’ll also cover teaching filmmaking in the classroom along with what equipment and software will help serve your students’ needs best.
Attending the Sneak On The Lot Summer Workshop qualifies many teachers for between 50-60 professional development hours. Additionally, participants will receive one year’s complimentary access to the Sneak On The Lot Film Site Curriculum and Tools for their school.
Let’s make movie magic together!
Join The Crew
Sneak On The Lot is dedicated to supporting young filmmakers and their teachers. Each summer we host a week long workshop in Los Angeles where educators and students are given a chance to work side-by-side with industry professionals to produce a short film.
This experience is then taken back into their classrooms and infused into their media programs or any classroom using video production as an educational module. Sneak On The Lot offers regional workshops throughout the year for continued support, access and training from industry professionals.
